Yes, you are correct. But I bought the rims with the tires already, so the taller goes in the rear. I did think they were wider, my bad!Unless I've misunderstood for a long time, this is not right. If you're running 305/40/22 in front and 305/45/22 in the rear, your tires are the same width. It's your side wall on the rear that's just slightly taller. Right?
You think if you had this leveled up instead of lowered the 285 would be a good size? this looks great, I just bought the same wheels for my 06I have a 2/3 on my 04 Yukon and 285/45/22 Toyos. They're too big, they rub on the front passenger side, on the rear of the inner wheel well. And slight scrub in the rear. Its driveable, and you can live with it but definitely couldn't go any lower on these. I would guess the 305/40s will be too big too.
