Concerning the body lift. I will be using the Zone 2" kit and reinforcing the rear bumper. I own an manufacturing business and have access to all kinds of fab equipment, so by the time I am done the rear bumper will be much stronger than stock.

Post pics of that setup . Wish I had access to some fab equipment!

When I do it, I will post pics. What I think I am going to do, any local weld shop should be able to do at minimal costs.

Ok I know some of y'all might not agree with this but I just ordered the 3.5" leveling kit. Is there any way to get an extra half inch or inch more? Do new shocks or struts sit it up any higher?

Which kit did you buy?

To answer you question directly, sure use the 3.5" kit and all the components with either the Rancho Quicklift struts or the Bilstein 5100 struts. You will get up to 5.5" of lift.

But do not come crawling back complaining when you wear out your front CV shafts, hubs, or ball joints. Let alone when any of these fail on the highway at 70 miles an hour and you total your Tahoe and put lives at risk.

Please do not attempt to add any more lift to that kit. If you wanted more another 1/2", you should have bought a 4" kit or used a leveling kit and a body lift.

These are just my thoughts and opinions, I am not an expert nor am I telling you what to do; I am just sharing what little knowledge I have.

No I understand. That's what this forum is for. If I can fit 315s with the 3.5 leveling kit then I'll just trim and keep it like that

I think the 3.5 is too much to level...it screws the angles up. Gonna mess that fine rig up!

SW CT,
I would just go with Zone Offroad's 2" level kit and their 2" body lift, you won't even be able to tell that it has a body lift. Or I believe ReadyLift has a 4.5" kit that lowers the front diff.

With the 2" body lift will u be able to see a lot of the frame? Because I removed the running boards and you can already see a little bit of the frame

SW CT,
Put the step bars back on...I know taking them off makes it "look" taller than it is, but going up another 2" and adding 35's you'll probably want them back on to make entery and exit easier.
