First of all I'd like to say nice site. And I'll attach a picture of my Yukon. My transmission is slipping in my 95 Yukon. My buddy just had his transmission built in his 94 S10 4 x 4 and he totalled it a week later. So my question is will his transmission work in my truck. Thanks for the answer and I look forward to being a part of the site.

I have no idea. You might call a junk yard, and ask them. They usually have a cool program that will tell you what parts interchange. :) Welcome!!

4L60e interchange

... the bellhousing bolt patterns will be the same , your green main electrical plug connection on the passenger side may or may not - most likely be ok there too . You will need to know if your buddys torque converter uses the same TCC management as your's , or if the spline count on the input shaft is the same just use your tahoe TC . The 4L60e used behind V6 vehicles had less clutch discs , but you say it was built - extra frictions and steels are often added by most builders as well as upgraded hardparts like a beast sunshell and double cage sprag ect. Probably only real issue is cooler lines - quick release vs threaded . Might need to reuse his transfer case adapter too.
... I've done some repairs :)
