Got out yesterday in this mess here in CNY, and had to drop the Hoe into 4wd to make it through the side streets. Only it didn't get me anywhere, I just sat and spun. Opened the window, I could hear where teeth weren't engaging, just a constant WHIRRR noise. Dropped it out of 4wd, had to spin my way down to solid ground.
On my way home, I started to hear a grinding sound, like some teeth had broken off, and were getting caught somewhere in the front rotating assembly.
I'm guessing it's bad news??? Probably expensive to fix with new parts? Should I just look for a used front axle/diff at a junkyard?
