You guys talking about my playground.
Heavy mods on that Tacoma but even thought it was one of the most tricked out trucks, I hated it. Size.
Sold that bought the Tahoe doing the very same thing to it now. Got the lift Monday, waiting on 2 inch adaptors for the rims and tires. Read most of you guys post but some of you are wrong on just go drive .
LEAK THOSE TIRES DOWN. 15 pound . Hatteras we have whats called Suger sand. I'd advise you not to go there. 12 pounds on the air adn 4x4 is a must. NOrth beach is your best bet.
IF you don't air down this time of years you will get stuck. I actually run street tires but do the 15 pounds. More contact than A/Ts and they don't dig. Start and stop slow. Honestly everyone loves to post pictures if you don't have a 4x4 don't hit OBX. You will be everyone's picture. LOL . You will make front page on our OBX beach forum. OBX towing always post their adventures. ( Hook ups) LOL
Jeeps 4x4 trucks, even hummers get stuck when they don't leak down. Town trucks around there run 20 pounds of air but they are running 285, 95s and 305s. . Leaking down increases your foot print and you roll with the bumps not push through them. Thats the secret to OBX driving.
Tahoe is about 4 weeks away from being finished. If you head to OBX give me a shout GF and I can met you. Have every other weekend off, were there at least once a month in summer more in fall. Grill out, music cold beer, fun and sun backed up to the beach. We live on the water cross the sound. Elizabeth City . Several boats one's a offshore fishing boat. Won't kidding OBX is our play ground.
SEE ya...........
