Worst scenario. Sorry dude.

It is what it is. Already working on it picked this up for 450$ plus core outta a 2000 suburban everything is identical should be easy enough a lil high 150k but for the price and trouble finding in my area much less with any lower miles. Had to travel a couple hours to get this one. But looks good and it'll get some TLC before drop in. Don't mind messy garage. Been doing more wrenching than picking up after myself but anyway now I'm babbling on for no reason. If your In my shoes you may just have to accept the fact it's toast and put money towards a replacement instead. And yeah get a manual pressure tester asap. I had trouble cuz part stores around me were either sold out or electric only or hooked into oil filter. What I ended up doing was buying a aftermarket gauge (like something you throw in ur hot rod project) and taking my old sending unit to the hardware store to adapt the fittings to screw right into the engine even tested on "Sheila" my 93 Cheyenne read pressure just fine. So a good alternative for my fellow broke DIYers think I spent like $25 bucks I'm sure there's a tester out there for that much but eh. Thanks for the help anyway. I'll post when finished. Might b a week or two imma busy dude but it'll get done.

Out in a lil over six hours. Taking intake off makes getting top bell housing bolts a breeze. Also pulling water pump allowed me to stand in front on front crossmember and reach around engine to get to everything in back. Only real snag was that one bolt on each side of the exhaust were it hooks to manifolds we're stripped . Noticed when I did heads and didn't even bother trying so just unhooked manifolds and let it drop. Then just wiggled engine mounts past a bit and pulled engine forward and she popped right out. Now that engine is out I have some room to cut bolts out that are stripped and manifolds on "New" engine look good still . Gonna prep new engine and maybe drop in tonight not sure yet. But half way there. Went smooth....almost too smooth. Easier than some front wheel drive v6s I've done in the past. IMAG0131.jpg IMAG0132.jpg
