5.3L cylinder deactivation. I’m considering purchasing an aftermarket device to eliminate cylinder deactivation (Range is manufacture). Has anyone had any negative results

meh that will work, there have been some reports of it causing a sensor to not set when removed if you needed to go get it inspected/smogged so if you know that going forward just remove it a few days before the inspection is to be done so any possible sensor not yet set can do it's thing and be ready.
otherwise you can find a used canned tuner off of ebay for the same price and get more options than just turning off deactivation.
or get a real tune from a tuner like blackbear and get even better results that just cost's a little more is all.

What Wes said. Or, for about $60, you can have it tuned out and be done with it and not have to worry about plugging and unplugging a $200 module.

I purchased a 2013 Tahoe in Nov 2021, also purchased the Range Deactivater. Plug and play, no problems.
Purchase price was $214.?
I just traded the Tahoe off as I wasn't a fan. Well not as much as I thought I was.
Anyway sold Tahoe keep the deactivater. It is for sale not as I don't have any use for it.
