5 channel amp with stock head unit

forgive my ignorance but is there some kind of converter box i can use with the stock head unit to send the signal to a 5 channel amp?

i am thinking about this set up.
JL 500/5
some kind of good speaker in the doors
CVT 8" in stock box

i was going to mount the amp under the back seat.

i think it would make a nice complete sounding system, no?
and i would like to keep the foward firing tweeter that are in the rear pillars. how to make this all possible using the stock head unit?

ya right after i made the post i discovered line out converters.

would it be possible to use multiple line out converters? like one 4 channel for the doors and one 2 channel for the woofer?

yes, a $25 LOC (line out converter) from any dealer...and I would opt for a 5 channel, less power wire, RCA, runs to make...unless you really want two seperate amps?

I soon plan to add a Kicker ZX7005 and QS652 in front, QS60 in rear door, and a single sealed 12" in rear. Keeping stock HU for now.

i plan on doing one amp and keeping the stock head unit. i have been looking and cant find a 5 channel LOC. cant find one. not even the crutchfield guy had heard of one. do you know where i can find one? front channels, rear channels and a SW channel.

the more i think about it the more i dont want to do it until i can afford to buy the dynamat as well. almost all the panels will have to come out. only thing more to do for dynomat is seats and carpet (the easy part). agh...decisions

there is no part of that system i would sweat dynomat on.. the mat will reduce road noise more than help with that system.. I have a total of 4 kenwoods on a 400.4 and 3 jl 12s in a sealed box with 1000ws and there isnt a single vibration noise on it

I think you should atleast do dynamat in your front 2 doors cuz Ive started to notice a lot of rattling sounds in my door panel. Thats what I plan on doing when I put my high's in.
BTW Im putting JL C2 6.5's in the front and then just clippin the power to the stock tweeters. and gettin somethin else to go in the back doors eventually. prolly somethin that will run off my deck for now cuz I really dont care what it sounds like in the back. That will just be filling noise.
