I used to get about 12 mpg with almost all city driving in my denali. But then a bad lifter made it drop to about 7 mpg.

Just got back from snowboarding which was about 400 miles round trip, reset the MPG gauge at the start. Mostly highway driving up/down mountain passes going 60-70 MPH with cruise control with a few small towns to drive through. I was impressed when the trip was over I got about 17 MPG, and that was with me doing a handful of WOT's to pass people. In the city I've only been getting about 12 MPG, but I've only had my Denali for about a month so I've had a heavier foot than normal :)

I drive with a heavy foot and typically get 13.5 mixed with 80% city and 20% highway. When I do take long highway trips I have seen as high as 22.1, but that was a rare 1 time event (doing 80mph down hill with a tailwind). If I keep it right around 65-70 on freeway driving, I can see 18-19 all day long and net about 500 miles on a tank of fuel, but once you crest the 70mph mark you start dropping like a rock on the mileage (at least mine does).

I hope this helps, don't be scared by the numbers as most of us on here do not buy these for the mileage anyway. I got mine for one reason, she goes like a ***** ape... and the sound is amazing as well.

Cheers,

Joe

Just checked mine. 07 Denali XL. 11.468 mpg. I think it's that bad now because it has bad bearing in front diff.
