6 speed transmission updates?

My local trans shop told me that the denali and escalade 6 speeds were updated in 2008. So are all 08's updated or did this happen mid year? Anyone know?

We took our 07 escalade in to the dealer because of irregular shifting and the software was updated. Im thimking it was around 2009 or so, so not sure about the 08 model year but you could probably have the software updated...in my opinion i didn't really notice a difference though.
