It was a beautiful 80 degrees here in Wisconsin today, but my 2011 LT Suburban decided to report on the dash that it was only 66deg out all day long.

With less than 400 miles on the odometer, it obviously goes back to the dealer for a "warranty" repair, but has anyone else seen this happen to their trucks? If so, what's the cure?? :Plugged:

Yeah mine is magically stuck around 86-87. Took it to the dealer and they had me push the recirculate and "snowflake" button on the AC at the same time. I did this inside a parking garage one day - it said 126F. Going back there to get a new one. Hope the GM Customer Service person posts in here

The drama continues....

Here's some background info. Yesterday, I had washed my truck, then drove it to the grocery store and a couple of other errands within about a mile or two of home. I probably started the truck about 5 times and it said "66deg" on the dash everytime.

Later that evening (after making this post) I had to buzz to a neighboring town about 15 miles down the interstate. Shortly after getting on the HWY (about a mile) the temp rose one-degree. Next mile, another degree... This continued for the next 8-10 miles until finally it was reading the correct "outdoor" temp. I wonder if somehow this temp-sender is installed in such a way as to fill with water, and give incorrect readings until it dries out?

I know that sounds odd, but I'm grasping at straws to figure out what is going on with this. This morning when I drove the truck, everything seemed "normal".

Have you taken the vehicle to the dealership? They may be able to diagnose this problem for you? Are you still under warranty? If so, this could be the cheapest route for you to take and get the correct diagnosis.
