The 6L80 2WD to AWD / 4WD is do’able but not the other way around. What year truck do you want to install the 2WD trans in?

I assume the difference if not case is the output shaft.
(Transmision disassembly required)

You sell it for what you paid for it and purchase a 6L80 that has been rebuilt properly and configured for your drivetrain type (AWD). Alternatively, you can rebuild this unit you just purchased and during the course of the overhaul, swap the output shaft to a 4WD/AWD output shaft - you will need to ensure you purchase a 'separate ring gears' style output shaft/ring gear assembly...2012 and up had the unigear design which wouldn't be compatible w/your speed sensor harness assembly.
