8-Way power track on a stock 6-Way seat?

Hey guys,

I have a 2003 Tahoe Z71. I have power seats but only 6 way. The recliner has a lever. Curious if anyone knows if I were to purchase and 8-way power track, can I replace the 6 -Way track with this one so I dont have the lever anymore? Can I use the same seat?

Or do I need to simply purchase the entire seat that is may be made for an 8-way power track to make it work?

probably not many if anyone has tried this, my guess is your going to need to take some measurements and/or compare the two, then your going to need to either completely swap parts or harness or start looking at wiring diagrams and figure it all out

That is curious. I figured someone would have attempted to do this. I am currently searching wrecking yards for the seat and track assembly one piece. Probably just go that route. Thanks for the input!

I don't think you'd be able to use your existing seat, as the recline feature would be power, and it's manual right now.
