I need to change the high pressure line on my power steering.
Any suggestions on how to get to the fitting on back side of pump?
I looked it up on yahoo answers and one guy said he wound up cutting down a 16mm wrench to get to from underneath.
Thanks for any help.

yeah get yourself a shorty version of the wrench lower or remove the front shield below the radiator. maneuver your arm in front or rear of center link to get to it. make sure you get what is left of the o-ring out of the pump. make you put the new one on. the o-ring does all the work mostly so don't over tighten the nut. also take note of how the original hose was routed for the new install.

Hey thanks for the info. Glad I found and joined this site.
Think a stop at the local pawn shop for a cheap wrench to modifiy is needed.
Used to work on forklifts so I do have a few custom wrenches just not the one I need.
I was wondering, can a box end wrench work. Cut a opening in it to make it into a line wrench.
Would that work better than a open end wrench?

Open ended wrench should work fine but if you can find a box wrench then that would work good also.. I used a set of Craftsman stubby ratcheting open ended wrenches and it worked awsome.. The new ones we got in the shop have a ratcheting open end part also and worked like magic.. But I wouldent spend 60$ for a 1 time use..

yep get it in a 12point for better access to the nut.
