like the title says my 95 tahoe has a cold engine knock, it only seems to happen under a load, it will last up to 5 minutes sometime depending how cold it is outside, but when warmed up half way, almost to, or at operating temp. its gone. my oil pressure is great. my truck has 188k miles on it, supposedly the engine only had 1000 miles or so on it when i bought it(i put about 5000 on it since then), i know its not the original engine, i dont know what year it is, normally every tahoe/blazer/yukon i came across around those years has a smaller longer oil filter mounded sideways. mine has the oil filter mounted up and down like the older chevy blocks only it takes a weird filter number that i never seen on a chevy lol. so anyone know whats going on? if you need more info let me know! thanks

What number filter does your engine take??

ac delco filter number pf25 and pf454 apparently ive been using carquest filters and just recently had them crossrefrance it to an ac filter

yeah if i let it warm up first i have no problems, my problem is i get up last minute for work and dont get time for it to warm up lol

,but most likely it is just a factor of life, my 95 had 257,000 on the original motor and it always knocked and the only reason it is gone is it got totalled 3 weks ago
