The fuel gauge on my 95 yukon jumps like crazy when the tank isn't fuel, I've changed about 3 clusters and they all do the same thing. Can anyone give me some imput on what might be causing the gauge to act this way?

Mine goes nuts too. When you first start it up or being stationary you can get a good reading on your fuel level. Thats what I do.

I mention it because I never had that problem before.

Only thing I could refer you to is to search for the thread on it. It will take you to GMT400 and a guy put oil in the gauge to settle it down. Sun probably knows the thread Im talking about.

My fuel gauge does the exact same thing...but only below 1/2 a tank. My friends tahoe limited does not do it at all, even with 1/4 tank. I read someplace that the solution to my issue may be nothing more than getting rid of the airtex pump and putting in a new delphi.

unknown at this time.
delphi are better but they still do it too. the 4 doors have it worse because the have a long fuel tank front to back and it does not have baffle in it.

I have a 2 door and never had a problem with the gauge bouncing around when the fuel inside moved until I had the pump and sender unit replaced last year. Doesn't matter how full the tank is, drives me nuts..... :banghead:

Any suggestions??
