96 tahoe horn lock not working

When i lock my doors the horn does not sound ive tried pressing the remote twice and nothing, any ideas? Thanks.

if this is the factory keyless system the horn is not wired in like that.

okay thank you for the reply, it is the factory setup and i was just curious cause my 99 suburban is like that were you lock it twice and the horn goes off for a sec

horn was integrated starting in 1998 on both platforms.

Along the same lines; I have a 99 Tahoe. I don't get the horn unless I press it twice and the parking lights don't flash. Is any of the factory security system programmable?

Thanks for the info! So is this more of a keyless entry and less of a security system? The range on mine is pretty dismal as well, but if it's just to unlock the doors, you wouldn't need much range I guess.

it can be intrusion alarm too if installed at factory.
