Hi,

My cruise control works when I set it, and it holds speed just fine. However, after I kick it off and want to Resume, it won't resume. Nor can I speed up or reduce speed without having to totally reset the cruise.

Anybody know how this can be fixed? I'm hoping that since it basically works, something is wrong with vacuum on the Resume, Increase, and Decrease settings.

Would appreciate any thoughts.

My 99 is all electronic(so is my 96 chevy pu) so it doesn't use vacuum...It has a control module on the firewall, sounds to me like your switch is partially broken or control module is bad.

You can test the wires going into the module ...I can't find the diagram i used.

If you turn the power off thru the switch you will have to reprogram the speed again. that is how cruise works.

I read that as kick it off by tapping the brakes...He states he has no Accel/coast function when engaged.

We need some clarification.
