My dad is running into a problem with my mom's truck. It's a 1997 Tahoe Sport. This truck is COMPLETELY stock, except for the Monsoon radio and the tinted windows.

While coming to a stop, the truck will stall. I'm not talking like shaking to a stop while stalling like an old car with a bad TCC solenoid would do. This is once the truck comes to a stop, everything goes dead. There is no electrical (headlights, tails, dash, radio) at all. Once she turns the key off and back to start, the truck will fire right back up as if nothing is wrong.

The truck has about 125k on it. Again, all stock.

My theories are as follows:

1.) Bad cell in the battery, shorting the whole battery out, thus killing the truck.

2.) Bad ground somewhere in the truck....

I haven't had a chance to look into it, but my dad is a tech, so I'm thinking the info he's giving me should be reliable.

this may sound weird but sometimes on cars when turning on the ignition system can work then as soon as you engage the starter-complete dead. Reseating the battery clamp suddenly brings things to life. So loosen, clean and retightning all the battery, alt. and grounds you can keeping and look out for corrosion and she should be fine.
