Hey guys I have a 97 Yukon SLT and it has a factory CD player below the air controls, and the factory deck was not there when I bought it. I was wondering what my options are? I'm not really knowledgeable when it comes to decks and wiring so that’s why I'm turning to you guys. I tried looking for another factory deck but it seems for my year most were just a plain Jane am/fm tape deck, and didn’t have the option for CD player.

I do have a used CD deck we removed from another car we had, and it had a GM adapter plug which does plug into the factory plug in. But nothing happens when I turn it on, no power or nothing is getting to deck. I've counted the wires coming and going from each plug, and they don't match up. The previous owner definitely had an amp and a subwoofer in the truck before, because he left the fuse connection at the battery and a grounding cable attached in the back.

Suggestions would be welcome, thanks

You can get a CD player...stock GM that instead of the tape has a CD in it. not a bad option, tons around on ebay and members selling them. I picked one up for not too much a while ago.
