Ok. Here's the story.
I would like to put a set of bags on my Tahoe. Everything is stock but I have been hauling a lot of stuff lately and will continue to do so. I just need a little extra support.
I got the Air Lift bags from Summit. Their site says that they will fit. Well they don't. The distance from the springs to the frame is too high. I can make them work by turning the top bracket upside down.(or so I thought) The problem is that the passenger side top shock mount bracket is in the way on the inside of the frame.
I spoke to Air Lift and they say that they don't have kits for my truck. Their site lists '92-'97 Tahoe 2 Door 4WD and '95-'00 4 door. (same kit number) Well what the hell?
Is their a big difference between a '97 and a '98-'99 2 door? I feel like a red headed step child. All want is to put some stinkin' lift bags on my car. Is there something I'm not seeing here?
I would actually prefer the Firestone bags. I can modify the brackets if necessary.
If anyone has any suggestions please speak up.
Thanks in advance.
