Hey guys quick question. I dont come on this forum as much as I would like mostly cause every time i do I see your trucks and ideas and it costs me a few grand.

Heres the question. I just picked up a Buckstop front winch bumper for my truck. however not many companies make a rear. I searched every thread on here and found all the same answers only a select couple of companies.

Then I came across a website by trying to just get ideas on google pics. Iron Cross bumpers makes a rear bumper for a 1988-98 Chevy C/K 1500 pick up. When i called Iron Cross they werent sure if it would fit on a tahoe cause they only designed it and fit it to a pickup truck.

Every other part and mount for the C/K Series trucks are almost identical if not the same. Is the rear bumper mount the same for pick as for tahoe ? or if i do purchase the bumper since the body lines are the same how much modification would i have to do to mount it up.

Thanks
Mike

Well i am also looking for this. The rear bumper supports on our hoes might be different then on a pickup. Ive been ****** on a ranch hand that was supposedly for my 2dr and it doesnt fit aswell as a dodge one i bought to maybe mod to fit but to make them fit there would have to notch the frame and make new holes or completely redo the inerds of the bumper to work with the hoe....

How do I post pics on here. The Iron Cross guy sent me specs of the pickup truck bumper mount and says its just a little under 37" from outside frame mount to outside frame mount.

Now I know the body lines match up and the distance seems correct but i cant tell if the bolt holes match. I took a pic of my mounts and there is a 98 1500 pickup for sale down the block from me. looks like i am going to have to crawl under that one.

The Ranch hand bumpers are FUGLY . So far the only 2 i found that i like are the IC Magnums which they dont make for anything close to a 98 and the Iron Cross

Ok figured it out. This is the spec of the mount for the 88-98 C/K 1500 pick up bumper they offer. now just need to try and figure out if this will work on the tahoe

LMC Truck shows the same bracket as above for pick up but doesnt offer that bracket for a tahoe or a suburban. Not to sure if i want to take a $850 chance on this one

Thanks for the pic. It looks simple enough if the body lines are the same. If the bracket on the new bumper is like the front bumper and removable then how hard could it possibly be to fabricate one up.

I really like the ICI magnum rear bumpers, going to call them up today see if i can order a just a shell close to my body lines and then fabricate the rest.

I have a guy at my shop to weld whatever i need and we can fabricate brackets but where i work we are so busy cleaning up this hurricane sandy mess that we dont have time for anything.

After installing my front bumper i really need to do something in the rear now

here's the front. i want to try and keep same contours in back
