98 yukon no headlights on dim

My wife just called me and on our 98 yukon there is no headlights on dim, the brights work fine but the dims dont. Any ideas what this may be, I havent had a chance to check anyting yet cause she is on her way home.

the multi switch most likely. If you have DRL's and they work you can eliminate bulbs and and most likely drl relay assuming the relay contacts are clean.

I took the steeriing colum apart and looked behind the blinker/hi low beem switch and found a wire that had corroded off from behind the swithc wire block. I sliced it in with another wire and they now work. I think I need the entire hi low beem switch.

Thanks for all the help, I am going to order the multi switch tomorow. I looked on ebay and they is a few to choose from.

it will depend if you have tilt steering or not as well. On the bright side it has the hazard-turn-winshield and cruise functions as well. nice clean switches and new bright lettering on control stalk always a good thing. I would actually get the oem number and shop for deals using that number for a better price. you can get cheaper ones but they won't last as long and may even short out becuase of cheaper quality.

I gotta do that to mine ... but for now I cut and spliced over the high/low wires at the bulb. Hahahaha
