is there a seperate relay for the cenral locking from the master door switch? my doors operate fine with the remote, but with the master switch it is hit or miss.. mostly miss. sounds like something is actuating, but doesnt seem to have the balls to move the door locks.

the keyless system is hooked to the same central relay in the same manner as the door mounted switches so that should eliminate the relay and keyless module as the cause.

unfortunately that fuse also powers the keyless module so being as how the keyless system works fine that leaves the door switch assemblies or their wiring.

One time I had the same problem with the door lock switches (driver and passenger), and somehow my keyless was working fine. I replaced the fuse and that fix the problem.

im getting power to that switch ... it sounds like its trying to do something. i will check / change the fuse anyhow.. what the hell right? could it be dirty contacts within the switch itself? like its not allowing enough voltage to pass to actuate the lock mechs? my old saab 900 window switches were famous for this

possible but just remember the switch on a 4dr unit activate a relay, using power from cig lighter fuse, that allows passage of power to the locks. that lock actuating power comes from one of the circuit breaker on the fuse block.
