I just bought a 99 Hoe LT 2dr 4WD 192k on the engine, 30k on trans, new flowmaster exhaust. I also live in the warm state of AZ. During the day its 110 out. The problem only seems to happen mid day after its been parked in the heat for a while. When I start her up and begin to accelerate it bogs till I give more gas and then it resumes to normal. I am thinking any of the following. EGR, fuel filter, injectors, or who knows what else. What do you guys think? From what I read this happens allot but is weird with mine as it only happens after sitting in the hot sun for a while.

Nice 4 peaks in the background, just went quading out there a few weeks ago.

Need more info on when it happens, and does it clear out?
If it is doing it after sitting hot (engine), then it may be the fuel injector spider is leaking down and running rich when you start up hot. Any mods?

Well no mods other than the Flow master. I can feel it most when first acceleration and I then have to give it more gas which then it hesitates for 2-3 secs and then boom starts accelerating as normal. When continuing to drive at cruising speed I can feel it a little but not near as bad. Drove it this morning which was cooler and didn’t happen. Ya I had some fun up there last Tuesday.

If the motor is all stock, sounds like you may need a good tune up. Spider assembly being the most important. If you havent replaced any of the said parts, start now. Fuel filter is easy, EGR same, pretty much anything on top, heck anything in the engine bay is a breeze to do. Grab a Chiltons or Haynes manual and go through it, everything is pretty easy to get to.
Thats my .02

I wish I had some places like that to go play in, amazing view.

I had the same problem would bog on accel then clear up, and only on slight accel. wouldnt do it if I hammered it. what did it for me was I picked an egr from upull and pay slapped it on there and bam no more bog! Of course I cleaned the old egr and no luck, and cleaned the new to me egr before I put it on.
