Ok guys, I'm brand new to this forum. I'm considering getting a 99 Tahoe. I've read some about the lifts but I'm trying to find out the cheaper but durable way for lifting. I'm considering just a body lift. Again I'm not trying to make it huge just a better look and room for bigger tires. If anyone has pics of body lifts I'd like to see. Thanks!

Heres my 96 with 3" body lift and 295/75/16 nitto terra grapplers. I cranked the torsion bars to level the front end and take out the rake

Thats just stage 1 of my plans. Id like to put a 6" kit on next, crank it down to have good angles and run 35's. Gotta save up for the kit and the regear in the meantime.

Super easy. Under the truck about midway down is a crossmember that has 2 18mm bolt heads sticking down. Jack the front end of your truck up using the frame and turn those bolts in. 1 full turn gives approx .25" in lift. Crank and measure, and make sure your CV axles dont look like this when you're done----->. /\

leveling kit (2 inch front) and 3 inch rear blocks .285/75/16 ..16 inch wheels

If you planning to install a grill guard i don't think you can be able to do it if you add a body lift, thats the reason i did leveling kit and blocks .
