Hey, so I was just wondering can you just replace the solenoid or do you have to replace the entire starter? My starter is only about 1 1/2 years old, but I'm pretty sure from what I've researched the solenoid has gone bad. I have looked and found where I can just buy the solenoid, which looks exactly like the one attached to the whole starter unit for about $35 which is a bargain compared to the price of a complete starter+solenoid package. Is there any information anywhere or details on how to go about replacing just the solenoid? It's been a little while since I put this starter on but I do remember the solenoid being bolted on in some sort of weird manner.

Yea you can get just the solenoid. Pull the starter off and remove the old solenoid. When you get the old starter off its pretty easy to figure out how to change out the solenoid.
