Hey guys, I have a 2 wheel drive 99 Yukon with the vortec 350. I pulled into my garage a couple weeks ago in the morning, walked out that evening and it will not start. It acts like dead battery. But with the battery fully charged not much is happening. Headlights do not come on. 4 way flashers make a buzz sound. Turn the key on and the gauges just sorta of wiggle a little and the park light indicator is just a little lit up. Is this a grounding issue? I live in GA and it is an AL truck so no salt/rough conditions. Just happened same day. Any thoughts of where to start are greatly appreciated, thank you. Also, I will pull the battery today and have it checked, though I dought that is it since I have a charger on it and the lights won't even come on. It did have an engine replacement 9 years ago, otherwise bone stock.

Could be grounds or combo of both sides. Could also be corroded or loose cable, a short, or even perhaps the ignition switch. Going to have to use a test light or meter and find where you're losing voltage. Check your battery terminals and positive cable to fuse block and go from there. Also two other fuse panels inside on drivers side where you can check you have proper voltage.

Main grounds are battery to engine block front lower on passenger side, Rear mid engine block on passenger side to frame rail on passenger side, and frame rail to firewall. The last two have a habit of corroding apart.

Thank you, I will test those two first before I dig into the harder things. Have a good day!

Check the battery again. The battery could be charged but have a bad cell.
