was just thinking...if it was damaging enough to prevent you from driving..thats always the plus side to an AWD/4x4 truck! ...just disconnect the rear drive shaft to make it home lol ;)


Have you got a quote on how much it'll cost to replace?

Ya that would have worked if I had had the tools.lol. Thankfully my friends dad has a roll back, took the learning curve on how to run that. Lets jut say it was a long nite.

It was quoted in the 1000 range

Except the 01-02 denalis run the risk of grenading the tcase. Bummer it blew up but at least the ring gear is ok, that is the reason we call those differentials grenade-locs...time for a detroit trutrac :cheers:

Viscous coupler in the nvg-149 tcase. Yours is chain driven and based off abs inputs therefore not effected. I've heard of silverado ss guys and a few denalis pulling the front shaft to dyno their trucks but I wouldn't risk it, tcases are expensive.
