A/c Belt Removal

How do you relieve tension from the tensioner pulley? I'm trying to pull the belt off right now but cant figure out how to loosen the pulley, any help would be great :emotions122:

On the front of the tensioner pulley there's a square hole where you can insert a 3/8" breaker bar (or ratchet) to pivot the pulley and relieve the tension on the belt.

Be sure to use a junker ratchet if you don't have a breaker bar. It's a lot of stress for a 3/8" ratchet IMO.

Yah man I ended up just pulling the pulley down by hand lol then I looked and saw the hole for a bar/ratchet. Only smashed 1 finger when the pulley sprung back up :Stupid Me:
