I've been trying to troubleshoot the problem through internet research and I'm seeing two different solutions. It could be the blend door actuator or driver side heater door actuator. I have a 2005 GMC Yukon XL. Also, I haven't really seen anything that gives a good location of either actuator on my vehicle.

This would be exactly it, but you will have to disassemble in order to see if the actuator door is actually broke or not. I had this problem in the rear and mine had a broken door.

Check in the INTERIOR section, as there was just a thread with write up about location and how to fix yesterday.

If you can not find it, let me know.

Good luck!
