Hello all,

My a/c keeps blowing cold and will not turn off no matter what i do. Any thoughts on what could cause this? I have no clue where to start, is it a stuck compressor?

Thanks

it blows cold. not ice cold id say high 60s. Im going through all the wires and attempting to locate the fuses. I removed the 10a fuse for the a/c from the panel inside the door/dash and it cut off. As far as low pressure, do you mean low freon? Im not familiar with a/c systems

Im going to order some relays for the truck and start swapping them out. As far as low pressure, do you mean low freon? Im not familiar with a/c systems

yes low refrigerant since you removed the in dash fuse and it cut off we do know that the dash unit is requesting a/c ops and that the the compressor relay works properly. i can assume that when the fuse was pulled that you actually had the head unit set to a/c on. if not that is another issue to add. before further analysis what year are we talking here?

yes i did have the dial set to a/c on when i pulled the fuse. Just incase i am having brain farts ill go try it again. I have the 96 5.7L. I was under the hood again this morning and noticed a vacuum line is missing that connects to that black knob on the left of the green hose. Not sure if this is playing a factor. I think this is the heater valve? see pic below

oook then lol..

I added the vaccum hose. A/C still blows on high, i keep getting pointed to the heater/blower resistor? What are the symptoms when that goes bad?
