I picked up a 2010 Esky Platinum and have a few questions. Appreciate it if anyone can help!

-How do you hook up your cell so you can play music through the stereo? My old Denali had a 3mm (headphone) jack on the face of the radio, this truck doesnt have one. All I see is a USB in the center console.

-My 07 Denali was so fast, it had so much torque it was like a rocket! This truck with more HP is a nite and day differance, so effen slow compared to my Denali. I was actually considering a Esky Hybrid but when I seen the performance #'s I said no way. If I was blind folded I would swear this truck is hybrid. What do you think this is?

-Is the radio and navigation one unit? I am having issues with the nav which the dealer is in the midst of ordering me a refurb unit but my radio will not switch through the presets in "favorite 1". Hoping its the same unit so when they swap the nav it fix's the radio.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello Stresst,

Congrats on your Escalade. I love those vehicles and hear great things from people who own one. Have you thought about joining a Cadillac forum? They have a lot of members who also own Escalades and offer each other good advice.

I saw you mentioned you have a USB in the center console. Have you tried hooking your phone up to the USB yet? Glad to hear the dealership is assisting you with fixing the navigation unit. The radio and navigation are one unit, so after this installation, how about you update us. You can also discuss these radio issues with your dealership since you are already working with them. Please feel free to contact us via private message if you would like to discuss additional concerns.

Regards,

There's plenty of threads on here about what a lousy performer the GM nav is.

I wouldn't waste 5 seconds on something that will get you lost with great regularity.

Forget it and get a Garmin.

I installed some Cree fogs, Cree reverse and LED tail lights bulbs. What do you think? I think the fogs are too blue and dont go well with the factory LED head lights. I look they way they look with the head lights off thou.....

Anyone know what the bulb # is for the puddle lights in the mirrors?

I agree with you on the fogs. I think the other lights look great, though. Where did you get the license plate and backup bulbs? Links? (I'm lazy)

I'm in need of puddle light info too.

Carefull pulling out the puddle lights. Don't try to pop off the cover its glues on. You have to remove the whole housing. Just go gentle. It's very delicate.

Lock pick gmx550. You can play your ipod and watch movies from your iPod. Also enables nav and video in motion among other things. I have it and love it.

you can also use the rear A/V controls and put it on AUX up front and it'll work that way. That's what I did until I got the lockpick.

And yes the nav/radio is all one giant piece.
