Just wondering where everyone has ordered their Pedders kit? Do you order it from Pedder's website or from a retailer? Also what's the difference between the Police Sport Package and Non Auto-Ride Sport II package?

I have a 2008 2wd Tahoe LT.

Also I was doing some reading but it's a bit limited since a lot of threads were on the old Tahoeforum site. I was under the impression that the Pedders kit is just a standard bolt it that can be completed with basic hand tools. Then I read somewhere else about spring compressors and bushing press. If I have to rent a spring compressor I will but like I said I thought this was a straight bolt in with no specialty tools. I'm more used to coilovers than coil strut setups but I can still figure it out.

For the most part those Pedders kits are the exact same, just different names for some reason.
Also Pedders is only available direct from them at the Merlins website, I love my kit, its awesome!

We have quite a few options with coils, except autoride, for different applications. If you have any questions, just ask.

I seem to be having problems with my pm notification. Not sure what is going on.

thanks

Rears are a simple bolt on. the fronts, however are a strut, and requires a very heavy duty spring compressor. These are really strong springs

Its been a few months since I did my install.

I got the strut/spring compressor from Auto Zone and was good to go.

I did have to run out and buy an 18 MM socket as I did not have one.

The springs are not marked top and bottom so I had one of the rears put in unside down.

The new front shock bolt clips had to be reused from my old struts as the ones provided in the kit were not the same tread size.

I bought mine from a dealer in Ohio called Back Street Performance. I was linked to them from the Pedders site.

I did the install by myself in 1 afternoon. I am very happy with the result as it looks great and the parts were quality.

I am considering taking the rubber cover off the old springs and putting it on the Pedders springs as I do hear more noise in the rear now. I think its the coils as they load and unload over bumps. I did install the top and bottom rubber pads, but the stock springs had a rubber cover over the coils themselves.

Good luck and shoot us some pics when you get it done.

Thanks!! That's a huge help, and I'll be sure to post up the pics. I gotta order it first. I'm waiting on a call back from Pedders because I wanted to talk with them about the different kits and what the differene is between the OEM police tahoe suspension and their police package suspension.

BTW, did you need an 18mm deep socket or just a standard size?

Standard 18 size works fine, it did with mine.
Quick66ss I have the Pedders coils in the rear too and don't hear any clunking noises like you explained?

Who knows what the noise is. I noticed it right after I installed the kit. I have been back through to make sure everything is in place. I figure the rubber spring covers would be the next step.
