Well I checked with GM to see if I was under a recall, apparantly the recall according to GM starts with the first digit of the last eight digits in you VIN, mine happens to be a X, the recall starts with and ends with Y. So I was SOL.
Anyway I followed the GM TSBs for the ABS sensor cleaning and testing. According to the TSB you should remove the sensors from the upper harness and put a Digital ACmv meter accross the sensors, turn the wheel with hand speed and the meter should read at least 350 mv, if under that, the sensor needs to come outta the hub and the hub surface and sensor should cleaned. Apparently the gap between the sensor and reluctor wheel is super critical, and after playing with the meter and sensor I can see how the height difference changes voltages. If the sensor dosn't sit perfectly flush on the hub, then it needs to be replaced. Just cleaning mine worked awsome as I did have crud buildup on the hub sensor seating surface. Turning the wheel now at hand speed the meter reads over 600 mv. The breaks work awsome now.
