So on my way to lunch I pull out from my parking spot and take off.. I havent even driven 15 feet when I get the "ABS light". I get to my destination and inspect the hoe with the engine running. I hear a weird BEARING/VIBRATION NOISE coming from the undercarriage. Turn off the engine and the noise is still running and never stops. The Hoe's my Daily driver so I need this Issue fixed asap! Wat ever it is im most likely tackling the job myself. Its an 02 Tahoe 4.8 2WD if anything hope you guys can help me out. Thanks!

Sounds like the EBCM took a poop. Check underhood and pull the fuse to stop the noise you're hearing. Once you pull the fuse your ABS and parking brake lights will stay on the dash and the ABS will no longer function but your brakes will work like regular non-ABS brakes.

I forget the exact location but it's in the underhood fuse box. It's a larger fuse, I think a 60A. Mine is blue.

Alex33: Thanks alot For the great info dude! I got the fuse out and the noise stopd. I guess the module is done, now to remove it and send it in to get repaired will I be able to drive the truck with out this thing? I'm aware its disconnected but just wanna be on the safe side. :Handshake:

You'll be able to drive the truck w/o it. Mine has been unplugged for a little over a year now. The plan is to get the module repaired, I just haven't done it yet :(

there is a place that you can send to and they only charge like $135 to rebuild it.
