abs light and ses light on.help please

wats up every one im a new member here and just bought myself a 2000 tahoe on 26s .i noticed the abs light was on but the brakes seem fine coud this be just because of the rims?also my ses light is on i went to go get he code read and pepboys said that my obd2 sensor wasnt giving out power so there machine couldnt pull the code can any one help

Welcome to the site. If you're seeing the ABS light and the Parking brake indicator, chances are good your EBCM is bad and the fuse has been pulled. If that is the case, you're just driving around w/o ABS. If you only have the ABS light on, there's an issue with the system that could be anything from a non-functioning wheel speed sensor to a problem with the brain of the ABS system.

As for the SES light, hopefully it's just a bad O2 sensor. Either way, I'd find a qualified tech to diagnose the concerns for you so you don't start throwing unnecessary parts and money at an otherwise good vehicle.

ok tahnks will do well i changed out the gas cap and the ses light went away? but as for the abs light its still on and i have to smog the truck any one know if it will pass and or how to fix it

If your gas cap was truly the problem then you'll probably just need to put 20-30 miles on the truck to reset the monitors and assuming there are no other issues to trip the SES light, you should be able to smog it without a problem. The ABS light alone will not cause you to fail a smog inspection.
