Hello,

I have a 2005 Yukon XL currently with 111,000mi and recently the ABS light has come on, it is not on when I start the engine but when I start to move it comes on and stays on until the next start. The brake light is not on. A local reputable shop says I need a new ABS pump and wants $695 to replace the pump, does this sound right? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Could just be a wheel speed sensor at one of the wheels. You need a scan tool to watch all 4 sensors RPM as you go down the road. In a straight line, they should all match and be smooth signals on a graph..
