Hey TYK,
I apologize if this topic has already been beaten. I was wondering if it's possible to replace an 07 tahoe's ABS speed sensor on my own. I can't afford 550 at the moment, and that's what the dealer wants. OR on a scale of 1-10, where would you guys rate its level of difficulty?

As of right now, it seems 133 peoplee have read your question.

It seems all 133 do not have the answer.

Some whiz kid will show up, just give it time!

From what I know, the sensor in these SUVs is not removable from the hub assembly. So to change it you will need to change the hub assembly also.
To do so just buy a hub for the damaged one somewhere online or local and install it by removing the brake caliper, brake rotor and then spindle assembly from the hub.
You could just do both hubs at once as preventive maintenance.
Level of difficulty is around a 5 for this fix. Its pretty straightforward, just a lot of bolt removing.

If you have a socket wrench, you'll be good.

Your abs sensors are supposed to be held down with a mounting bolt. Here is the repair guide for them:

I'm almost positive the sensor on these 07 Up SUVs is part of the hub assembly so all the above directions are useless in this situation.
The above directions are just universal AutoZone directions.

there are sensor part numbers available and they are sold at several parts stores seperately as well as the intructions are in order with a parts list from compnine. So if I am wrong then so is a lot of application and parts guides including ac delco.
