The AC is blowing Ice cold on the driver side and the rear vents but its blowing warm on the passenger side. Anyone else has this issue? I bought this Tahoe recently and the company that owned it prior to me said they had some AC issues but had it fixed about a year ago but were not specific with what issues they had i just figured it was a compressor.

I believe this is for the drivers side, there may a different procedure for the passenger side, it may be the one on the top behind the glove box, either way it's not difficult

blend door actuator, easy to replace yourself if you have a couple ratchet tools
Thank you! Not even sure what this part actually does but I am going to pick one up and start by changing it. I have zero mechanical knowledge but I do have a decent amount of tools and I guess there is no better time to learn.

it's basically a little motor and gear inside a plastic box, it has a slotted gear, the gear slips over a rod on the a/c duct and the rod moves a little door inside the duct switching the air from hot/cold or in some locations switches it up/down for defrosting, the ac control commands the motor to move as desired. that about it in a nutshell

Thanks for explaining that! Makes sense. A quick google search shows me amazon has some replacements for $19-25 with the cheapest local parts store being $44. Will the cheap one do the job in this case? I also see multiple different options as far as part numbers go but none of them state that its for driver or passenger side. Is it a specific actuator for each side?

The dual climate systems on 03 and newer are a PAIN to change the passenger side blend door actuator.
They're tightly fit and behind the radio. Your hand will barely be able to fit in there. Getting the bolts loose is tough for sure.

On my moms 03 Burban, I somehow got one bolt loose and out...SOMEHOW LOL. It was a crazy tight fit. The other bolt well....
I decided to be brave, took a long flathead screwdriver and pried and intentionally broke the old actuator.
It was in the middle of winter and the door was stuck on full cold which sucked for her.
But I was able to get the broken piece out now and get the new actuator in.

Factory says you gotta take the dashboard out to do this.
You dont need to. Maybe get a friend or a kid with small hands to get in there LOL
