I am replacing the AC compressor on my 2003 Yukon XL with rear air and can't find the oil capacity. The new unit says it has 8 oz. already and needs more for vehicles with rear AC. I've looked on the tags under the hood, the Haynes manual, and searched the internet with no luck. Does anyone here know the correct amount? Thanks in advance!

Thanks hassoun, but those are the refridgerant capacities. No worries though, I found it.

8 oz. for front only and 12 oz. for front and rear.

Thansk again!

You are supposed to drain the old oil out of the old compressor and then drain the new oil out of the new compressor and then add back the same amount. Do NOT add the total system capacity oil to the compressor or you will have way too much and poor cooling. Each part (accumulator, evaporator, condensor, compressor, etc.) hold a little bit of the total system capacity.
