There was someone on here that did something similar. They basically made stickers that go over the buttons. However, the light shined through the stickers.... but it was very dim, but noticeable. I'll try to find the thread...

Ok yeah I ordered them but haven't got them yet due to PayPal messing my order up but I seen on another forum it didn't look very good when the button is worn a lot. Mine is just worn on the arrows alittle bit. I would much rather but new buttons if I could

Someone else has also grabbed a used one from a junk yard and swapped the buttons. I guess it depends on how you want to do it and how many buttons are messed up

I put the decals from controlbuttonrenu.com on. During the day you can't tell anything. There is a little bleeding at night but they sent me some more for free and I used a recommended ink pen and outlined around where the symbols are. I'm okay with the turnout. To be honest I'd pull one out of a salvage if you can find for $50 or so.

The first picture is before I redid it and used an ink pen before applying the decals. Don't have an updated picture but if I could do it again I wouldn't have scraped the old ink off at all and would have just applied the decals only. If your buttons are like mine were (4th pic) your result will be much better with minimal or not bleeding.

Ok thanks yeah mine don't look horrible but I'm not going to scrape it at all, I also saw another picture of someone doing the same and draped it all around the edge it looked much worse

Sometimes you can find broken units on ebay that still have the buttons in good shape and can just swap the buttons out. That's what I did on my unit a few years back for around $35.

Never knew about this. Lucily, mine are still in great shape, but for the possible future I'll keep this in mind. Thanks!
