I ordered AC Delco brake hoses from Amazon. They came in an AC Delco box but the hoses had Sonsun or something like that. I read the comments and several folks had received the same. I re-ordered AC Delco hoses from Rock Auto and am waiting for them. In the meantime I read online Rock Auto was also shipping the same Sonsun hoses marked as AC Delco. I called the Chevy dealer who told me AC Delco hoses should have AC Delco on them. Hopefully Rock Auto ships AC Delco. Anyone have a similar experience?

Regardless of what is stamped on the side (AC Delco or not), highly likely it was made in China...

I recently learned about ACDelco, NGK and Denso spark plugs being sold on Amazon and ebay at suspiciously low prices because they were actually low-quality knock-offs. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if other name brand parts were done the same. Often times, the box they're in looks legit by itself but flaws stand out when compared to the authentic ones. Usually it's stuff like lower-quality printing, less-vivid colors, lower resolution, etc. Maybe bring your box and parts to a dealer and compare to what they have?

Or, send it all back and use the opportunity to make a worthwhile upgrade to stainless braided hoses. I've used Kore3 but there are others.

It’s my understanding that ACDelco uses Sonsong brake hoses. Remember guys, aftermarket parts (including OEM brands) are NOT what is installed on your vehicle at the assembly line. It is all about meeting specs. So it is quite possible that the Sonsong hoses in the ACDelco bags meet different specifications but I doubt it. Same goes with brake pads, blah blah blah. Look at ACDelco serpentine belt kits. They are just Gates components.

Right. ACDelco is not a parts manufacturer.

My understanding from research and experience:
I can't speak directly for the brake hoses. But, in general, ACDelco sources their various levels of parts from various manufacturers. The ACDelco Original parts are the highest quality of the spread and is what is installed at the factory and dealerships, and is usually the highest-priced. The ACDelco Professional line is a lower cost alternative to the Original line that still maintains a level of quality. It seems to be reboxed/relabeled "good" aftermarket parts. For example, in my most recent experience, my ACDelco Professional control arms were reboxed Moog "Problem Solver" with their bushings and greasable ball joints. Then there's ACDelco Advantage, which seems to be the line of parts focused primarily on low price, which inherently means low quality.

Maybe the OP got ACDelco Professional brake hoses, and those are sourced from Sonsong.
