Our '05 had a Chinese brand oil pressure switch in it for like 5 years and it still worked. But I thought maybe I should change it for a better quality part since we were chasing an oil leak. So I spent the $59 on an AC delco one on 12/31. It lasted 30 days. Got is swapped under warranty for anew one...it lasted 88 days. Total disappointment especially when my $30 knock off one still worked. Really wish I hadn't thrown the chinese one out. Guess I'll get another under warranty and just assume I'll be playing the game again sometime in the next 90 days. LOL

On the bright side, you are really good about changing the oil pressure switch.

Instead of AC Delco, use this: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=8742996&cc=1431156&pt=4588&jsn=959

I recently bought a SRS Impact sensor, a Dorman brand.. And to my surprise, it was a OEM ACDelco in the box.
Hmm, thats odd. Yeah, in our case, I've used AC Delco PN 12677836 twice now. Both have failed within months. I literally took out and threw away a cheap knock off brand that I had purchased at Advanced Auto probably 5 or 6 years ago. I replaced it with this AC Delco one thinking the cheap one would probably be failing at any time so I was being proactive. Ridiculous

Yeah, that's why I have a tough time replacing things that aren't broken. Especially these days since parts are just getting made cheaper and cheaper :(

Sorry to hear this. I had the same exact problem. I was able to finally get a usable part in there (OEM), after the 3rd OEM (and 4th total), part. I have a spare OEM on hand, but who knows if it will be a good or bad part.

Dorman will do that sometimes, like GM they source parts from all over the world and you can on a rare occasion end up with a oem part in a dorman box. I had a source for dorman parts for a while and at first I thought it was kind of strange and thought maybe it was someone swapping parts but they come right from the distributor like that.
