AC Issue?

Hey guys, have an 03 tahoe with digital dual climate control and the AC runs colder on the recirculating cycle than it does with just the AC button on, with just the AC button on its almost warm but when it's on recirculating it blows cold. Also my buddies 06 sierra he can run both at the same time but on mine it won't allow me to, the AC symbol with come on for a second then go away. Just seeing if anybody else's does this or if I have a problem? Thanks for the input/help

Not sure what's up with that Sierra, but you shouldn't be able to run the AC in both modes. Its either fresh air, or recirculate, not both. And of course recirculate is always much colder because you are cooling the air that's already in the truck and its been cooled already. The fresh air is the HOT outside air, which will get nowhere near as CD as recirculating the air that already in the truck.
