i am wanting to know if it is possible for me to add an aux input so that i can use my ipod or listen to Pandora from my cell? i have an 03 Yukon XL with Bose 6 disc changer and no XM radio. i have found a few posts on how to do it if you have XM radio but can't find anything for a radio with no XM. i know they sell things that do this for around 100.00 bucks but i was hoping there was another cheaper way. thanks for any help

Someone here was selling a system that plugs into the factory radio and lets you connect a phone via headphone jack IIRC. Look in the for sale section. If not there, you should be able to go Crutchfield and find an adapter.

ya i know i can get an adapter but i was trying to find another way, such as tapping into another wire and installing a jack.

If I'm not mistaken, you should still have the XM wiring harness in the dash cavity or should at least have the hookup in the harness. You just don't have an XM compatible radio.

Take out your stock radio, you might see 2 plugs. One is the main harness that plugs into the back of your radio and the other is a 6-8 pin plug and that is your XM harness. However, If you only have one plug, you'll probably have to go to an aftermarket radio or a Peripheral AUX interface.

I have AUX jacks with a harness for sale if you want one. PM me. All you have to do is tap into the wires on the diagram that will be sent with the AUX jack.
