Advice on Black Out of a 2023 Tahoe

Hi All,
New to the group. Just purchased a 2023 Tahoe Premier- white and Chrome.

Today, I replaced the Tahoe badges, from Chrome to Black. Tried to tackle the chrome emblem across the back lift gate below the window and the chrome strip on the back bumper.

Thought I could remove the plastic interior to get to the chrome emblem but need to remove the plastic part just below the window and above the license plate. Got halfway there by removing as many screws as I could only to find clips I can’t access.

Any advice would be appreciated

Are you wanting to black out the wide chrome trim that has the bowtie in the middle of it? If so, use this video as a reference to see disassembly of the tailgate. It's a big job, but he goes through everything step by step.

I'm pretty sure the "Tahoe" and "Premier" logos are just held on by double stick tape.

I purchased factory nameplates and emblems and then had the rest of the chrome pieces wrapped by a local guy. Much cheaper than buying the blacked out trim and replacing and looks just as good. Just make sure you vet the company/guy wrapping your trim to ensure they know what they are doing and doesn't take shortcuts.

I'm also looking to blackout wrap the chrome on mine. I'm leery if the black OEM double-bar (RST) will fit on the LS Grill. I don't want to have to buy the RST Grill too. I think the rest of the OEM RST black parts will fit the LS.

I replaced the chrome letters with black glossy ones. Everything is done very simply. The letters are cut with a fishing line. The adhesive can be cleaned with any body cleaner. Well, this is how it looks.

How long does wrap last before it needs to be removed and replaced? More than 5 years? Also, does wrap damage the undersurface chrome where you can't go back to shiny chrome. Like the old saying, "Once you go wrap, you don't go back"?

The chrome film does not damage) on the contrary, it preserves it)

How do they trim the vinyl and not cut through paint resulting is rust bubbling up years later? I only imagine an exacto knife is used to trim. I can't think of any tool that can get into creases and cut the vinyl. Am I not understanding the process? I don't think they dismantle a car and wrap and trim each part. It would be more expensive than to just buy the OEM Black parts.

The guys who glued the vinyl used a knife very similar to a medical scalpel. And yes, for pasting they disassemble the parts, in particular for pasting my roof, they removed the roof rails. I looked carefully at the place of pruning, I did not see any damage to the paint
