My "To fix" list has finally exceeded the time and money I want to spend on my daily work truck. Wondering what to do with it from here, I know that I have no more interest in keeping it. To sell or chop for parts, that is the question...

I'm biased as I don't want to me under it anymore, and not sure if it is still at a point in which it would be a worthwhile project as the rust is getting the better of it. Mind adding your thoughts?

What's right:

-Runs
-Tran was rebuilt 2 years / 10K ago
-4x4 works
-Hummer rims (don't ask)
-Front hubs have less than 2K on them
-Leather

What's wrong:

-Wires/Plugs needed
-Front brakes needed
-Front Tires needed
-Windshield severely cracked
-Hood damaged
-L/F Fender minor damage
-Rust starting above windshield
-Rust on all rockers/quarters
-Rear bumper and lower gate are pretty rusted
-Drivers door needed (laundry list of little things on it / rust)
-Drivers seat torn
-Passenger mirror gone
-Front suspension needs bushings everywhere

I haven't parted out a car, but I did part out my motorcycle a few years back. It is a lot of work, but generally you can get more out of it. Stop by a big box store and ask them for some boxes they are throwing out as well as packing peanuts or bubble wrap that is scrap. That will at least help with some of the expenses of shipping.

You'll get more parting it out, just make sure you have a way to get rid of it before you pull things like wheels off of it. If it can't roll it will be harder to find a place to take it. It should still be possible, depending on where you are. I'd make arrangements for someone picking up the hulk before you strip it. That way you know...

A few snaps of the worst issues. In Chicago if anyone sees potential.

Ouch that hurt me on the inside. Yep parting is gonna be what you gotta do. Those h3 rims I paid about 200 for mine without tires so that's a start. Down here that 2dr would go for $200 if lucky.. Might get $1500 in parts if you got the business man in you an part it

Killing me inside too. The minute they started using brine on the roads instead of salt, the body went to hell. Gets everywhere, and you cant wash it thourough enough when its 0-15 degrees F outside...
