AFE Dry filter for 08 Denali xl (louder than stock filter?)

For anyone that has the AFE dry syn filter. Is it any louder than your stock air filter? Do you notice any MPG gains at all? Thanks!

I take it you are just replacing your stock air filter with the AFE...no...it's won't be any different sounding. If you go with a cold air intake, then yes, it is quite a bit louder. MPG gains will be very slight with the stock replacement.

Yes i will be just replacing the stock filter element. I have heard some people claim they hear more of a "sucking" sound by just replacing the stock filter? If I got 1 mpg more, I think it would be worth the extra cost. thanks

The loud noise from a CAI is from the intake tube, not the filter.
