AFM, cylinder deactivation - temporary disable

Notice when driving through town at low speeds the engine really lugs in V4 mode with light acceleration. Feel those four cylinders really working hard and vibrates some. I don't like that at all. I've found that with our 2019 with the 5.3 I can put the shifter in low range and toggle it into 3rd or 4th gear and it will stay in V8 mode. Stop at red light and it shifts back to first and upshifts normally to the selected gear, still in constant V8 mode. Might not work for all? Not sure if this affects anything else?

works as a manual fix, but you can have that tuned out and be able to drive it in v8 mode all the time
